Since March 2013, Wuppertal has had a volunteer agency, the Zentrum für gute Taten e.V. (Center for Good Deeds). Volunteer agencies are institutions that support civic engagement in various ways.
Among other things, the volunteer agency is a placement and advice centre for all topics relating to volunteering and is particularly responsible for placing volunteers with charitable organizations and associations. Interested parties can get advice on suitable volunteer positions in a personal meeting, and the staff at the volunteer agency will work with you to find suitable volunteer tasks. A database with a wide range of offers is available for this purpose. In a personal interview, certain parameters are queried and current volunteer positions that match your skills, interests and ideas are suggested in a matching process.
The Zentrum für gute Taten e.V. also pursues other areas of work, advises organizations, organizes social days, promotes entrepreneurial commitment, implements its own projects and organizes an annual volunteering fair.
