On Digital Day 2026, the City of Wuppertal invites you to learn about and try out the city’s digital services. On June 26, come to the town hall plaza in Barmen to test new offerings, provide feedback, and help make digital services more user-friendly. Your experiences and suggestions will be directly incorporated into the further development of these applications!
You can also provide feedback on our participation platform online on this page between June 24 and July 19, even outside of the event!
The city of Wuppertal is constantly developing new digital services for its residents. To ensure these applications are easy to understand, practical for everyday use, and user-friendly, we’d like to test them together with you.
As part of the nationwide Digital Day, you can try out various digital services offered by the city administration right on site. It’s not you who’s being tested—it’s the applications.
At the various stations, you can explore digital applications from different areas:
- Smart City App – Healthy and sustainable through the valley.
The app combines the topics of health, exercise, and sustainability into a single application—divided into two exciting modules. It includes sustainable and health-promoting offerings from Wuppertal, as well as smart applications and much more! - Wuppertal App – For everyone who calls this place home!
The app provides central access to all of the city administration’s digital services. - KoodiKo – The Participation App
This app enables digital citizen participation on mobile devices using 3D city models. KoodiKo aims to engage more people and reach new target groups for citizen participation. - talbeteiligung.de – The Participation Platform
All of the city’s participation processes are consolidated here and made digitally accessible. You can also leave feedback on talbeteiligung.de directly on this page between June 24 and July 19. - DigiTal Twin / Geoportal
A virtual 3D model of Wuppertal that combines geodata and real-time information to make urban planning and climate adaptation visible and understandable.
You can try out and evaluate the individual applications directly. Each test takes only a few minutes. No prior knowledge is required.
Digital offerings are successful when they are understandable, helpful, and easy to use for the people who are supposed to use them. That is why we would like to know how you experience the applications presented here.
We’re particularly interested in:
- Do you find it easy to navigate the app?
- Are the content and features explained clearly?
- Which features are particularly helpful?
- Where do you encounter difficulties or confusion?
- What suggestions or ideas do you have for further development?
There are no right or wrong answers. Every piece of feedback helps us better tailor the City of Wuppertal’s digital services to the needs of our residents and make them more user-friendly. Your experiences are an important contribution to the digital development of our city.
Just stop by and try out the applications on-site. No registration is required, and participation is free.
Date: June 26, 2026
