Everything at a glance and in one place: the app bundles digital municipal services (e.g. booking appointments, applying for an ID card). It helps you to access this and other important information quickly, easily and on the move.
Citizens will be able to download the Wuppertal app from the app stores at the end of the year. We want to continuously develop the app so that it meets your needs and those of other Wuppertal residents. To do this, we need your help.
As part of the participation process, two workshops have already taken place and the development team has received helpful feedback. You can find the results at the bottom of the page. Further opportunities for participation are planned and will be published here.
Over the next few years, many places in the center of Vohwinkel are to be rebuilt and rethought. To this end, a roadmap for the next 10 years was drawn up in 2024 by the administration, the population and the politicians of the Vohwinkel district and adopted by the city council. The Vohwinkel Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK) is this roadmap and includes playgrounds and sports areas, the Stationsgarten, Lienhardplatz and more.
Now it's time to plan the two most important recreational areas in the center. Twelve planning offices will be drawing up designs this summer. Your places in Vohwinkel will be planned and drawn by the experts. But they need your expertise, because you are the experts for Vohwinkel! We would like to collect this concentrated expertise and pass it on to the planning teams. A jury of experts and political representatives will then select the winning design in the fall.
Of course, Lienhardplatz will not become a swimming pool the day after tomorrow and the Stationsgarten will not be converted into a dirt bike track. Vohwinkel will still need a marketplace for your markets, festivals and events and a green space to sit, play and talk. But these spaces can do even more! Clever landscape architects will combine the existing space with your wishes and ideas! To make the Stationsgarten and Lienhardplatz even more attractive in the future! What do you associate with these places in the middle of Vohwinkel? When and how do you spend time there? Or why not? Do you need more space to sit or run? More grass to lie on or hedges to hide in?
Between 20.05. and 10.06.2026, there will be a three-week online participation via our new participation application KoodiKo. All interested parties can contribute their ideas and wishes here. The link to the survey will be shared in good time on this page and in our other communication channels.
On the last weekend of the participation period, we will be in Vohwinkel on June 6 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to talk to anyone who is at Lienhardplatz or Stationsgarten and would like to discuss ideas for the future of these places with us.
We will document the results of the online survey and our discussions on site and make them available to the planning offices for their work - they will become part of the design task. Of course, there are also results from the participatory process of the ISEK that have already been carried out. These results were stored as a repository of ideas and made available to the teams.
In addition to all the other requirements for these places and the landscape architects' own design ideas, the results of the participation process are thus incorporated directly into the teams' designs. As the results are part of the brief, the jury also assesses how well suggestions have been incorporated.
