Barmen Youth Budget: Vote Concluded

The vote in theYouth Budget has concluded. Until October 18, 14- to 21-year-olds in Wuppertal Barmen could vote on 29 ideas submitted by young people for the district and thus decide how the city will spend €50,000 next year.

The options included ideas related to sports, recreation, and culture. On November 5, you’ll find out the results of the vote at a closing event at the Barmen Youth Café. With this event, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in the project and contributed ideas. We’ll also present ways you can pursue ideas that cannot be funded through the youth budget.

At the event, we’ll look back on the project, share highlights, and get to know the people behind the ideas. Mayor Miriam Scherff and Annette Berg, the Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, Youth, Schools, and Integration, will also be in attendance.

After the official part of the event, we’ll celebrate all the ideas with pizza, music, and drinks. To help us plan better, please register via this link. The event is free. If you need assistance or would like to bring a companion, please indicate this when registering or send us an email at talbeteiligung@stadt.wuppertal.de.
