The citizens' budget in transition - review and outlook

Since 2017, Wuppertal residents have been able to contribute their own ideas for their city to the citizens' budget and vote on which projects should be implemented. The fifth round took place last year - and the tenth anniversary is coming up in 2027.

On the occasion of the day of honor proclaimed by the Federal President on the birthday of the Basic Law, we invite you to the Forum of the Volkshochschule Wuppertal on May 19 from 5:30 to 8 pm.

During the event, we will look back together on the developments of the citizens' budget: How did the first citizens' budget in 2017 go? What ideas were implemented? And what experiences did participants have?

We also collected initial ideas on how the process could be further developed in the future thanks to a wealth of feedback. We cordially invite you to contribute your perspectives and help shape the citizens' budget of the future.
