Barmen Youth Budget: Here's How the Ideas Workshop Went

During the idea submission phase for the Barmen Youth Budget, 77 creative proposals from 14- to 21-year-olds were received for the Barmen district. At the ideas workshop on July 3 at the Barmen Comprehensive School, we had the opportunity to review the ideas together with the young people and the relevant city department, ask each other questions, and think more concretely about how to implement them. To that end, we discussed questions such as: What is particularly important to you when it comes to sports programs? Where does an idea need to be implemented so that you can actually make use of it? Which ideas should we combine in the project so that a wide variety of topics can be covered for the vote?

Based on the feedback from the young people, the administration is now assessing which ideas can be implemented within the guidelines of the youth budget. To this end, we’ll be reaching out to the people who submitted the ideas and potential implementers in the coming weeks. As soon as the review process is complete, we’ll post an update here on talbeteiligung.de and through our channels on WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok.
