Thanks to supporters
In the final voting phase in September, 30 ideas were put to the vote. The winning projects received the most votes. The funding comes from €100,000 from the municipal budget and €110,000 from the Wuppertal Community Foundation, BARMER and KNIPEX.
Lively participation
6300 people took part online at talbeteiligung.de (submit ideas, comment, vote). In addition, around 260 people voted analogously at 12 district stations, and around 200 participants took part in the on-site events "Gemeinwohlcheck" and "Wahlparty".
Formal resolution in the council
The city council must now pass a formal resolution as part of the 2026 budget preparation. The idea providers will then implement the projects in collaboration with the city. A new citizens' budget is expected in 2027.
