The results of the survey have been analyzed—here's what's next!
In May and June of this year, you had the opportunity to participate in the redesign of the Stationsgarten and Lienhardplatz through an online survey and at an event held at Lienhardplatz.
You can now find an analysis of the participation results on the project page . The public engagement shows a clear desire for a green, shaded, and inviting center in Vohwinkel. Survey participants placed particular importance on improving the quality of the public space, safety, cleanliness, and attractive connections between the train station, Lienhardplatz, and the Stationsgarten. At the same time, Lienhardplatz is to retain its important role as a venue for markets, festivals, and events, while the Stationsgarten is to be strengthened as a green hub and Bahnstraße is to be made brighter, safer, and easier to navigate.
The results of the public engagement process were incorporated into the competition brief and shared with the participating firms. They now have until the end of September to develop their designs. At the end of November, a jury composed of representatives from the administration, politics, and external experts will select three winning designs. Among other things, the jury will assess whether the designs have taken the public engagement results into account. The three designs will subsequently be exhibited publicly, and the first-place design is typically implemented.
