Parking Plan: Public Engagement Processes Completed

Now that we have gathered feedback, needs, and ideas from various groups, such as residents, retailers, service providers, facility managers, advocacy groups, mobility service providers, and policymakers, we are now moving on to the detailed development of measures for the parking plan for the Nordstadt and Luisenviertel districts.

The relevant administrative department is currently reviewing which proposals from the public engagement processes are compatible with the Road Traffic Regulations, feasible for Wuppertal, and financially viable. Based on this review process, changes will be made or new measures developed.

The measures are intended to make better use of existing parking space and improve the situation for the numerous target groups while taking their diverse interests into account. The plan will be presented to the Transportation Committee and the Elberfeld District Council in late October and early November. The concept will also be presented to the public at a public event so that you can understand what has come of the public engagement results and how they are reflected in the concept. As soon as the event is scheduled, we will invite you here via talbeteiligung.de.

Once the plan is approved, the measures will be implemented in stages.
