First youth budget for Wuppertal: Council decides on implementation

The city of Wuppertal is introducing a youth budget for the first time in 2026. The city council decided to implement this at its meeting on December 15, 2025. Together with the Department of Children, Youth and Family - Youth Welfare Office and the Youth & Leisure Department, we are supplementing the existing participation offer for young people in Wuppertal with the youth budget. The concept, which was specially developed for the target group, enables target group-oriented and low-threshold participation. It was developed in close cooperation with representatives of the Youth Council, the Youth Ring and Wuppertal schools.
