Barmen Youth Budget: Voting Begins in a Week

It all kicks off next week: From September 21 to October 18, all 14- to 21-year-olds in Barmen can vote through the Youth Budget on which ideas will be implemented locally. There are 29 proposals to choose from, and the city has allocated a total of €50,000 for their implementation.

Voting takes place online using a personal PIN, which all eligible voters will receive by mail. With this PIN, young people can vote here for up to five ideas.

During the voting period, the Youth Participation team will be visiting schools, youth centers, and public places to help young people cast their votes. Anyone who has lost their PIN can also contact us at any time.

On November 5, the results of the vote will be celebrated at a closing event with Mayor Miriam Scherff. All interested parties are cordially invited and can register for the event here.
