Citizen Participation Advisory Board: Kickoff Meeting After the Summer Break
On September 9, the Advisory Board on Citizen Participation convened for its first meeting following the summer break. The focus was on getting to know the new team members of the Valley Participation Office, Annette Kerber-Assigno and Jonas Niemann, as well as possible adjustments to the coordination process for the participatory budget. There were also updates on the BUGA and the Youth Budget. This ensures that the Advisory Board remains informed about current developments in key participatory projects and contributes its own ideas to their further development. The minutes from this and all previous meetings can be found here in the city’s Council Information System.
The next meeting will take place on October 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Barmen City Hall . The meeting is open to the public—interested parties are cordially invited to attend as guests. The upcoming meeting will focus on promoting civic engagement, which is another key priority of the Community Participation Office.
