December 08: Closing event "Political participation of people affected by poverty"

On December 8, 2025, 3 to 6 p.m., the final event of our state product "Political participation of people affected by poverty" will take place in the FÄRBEREI.

In this project, various associations and initiatives in the city have looked at how those affected by poverty in Wuppertal can be more involved in political decision-making processes and how needs-based access to political education and participation can be created.

For this reason, the SKF, Kookaburra, the City of Wuppertal's Citizen Participation Department, Arbeitslosenhilfe and Färberei have been working on the participation of people living in poverty in political and democratic processes since July.

The results of the project will be presented at the final event, to which political representatives of the city, the city administration, various associations and initiatives, as well as people affected by poverty are invited.

We invite you and all interested people to the closing event. There, the projects will present their results and we want to think together with you about how we can improve the participation of people affected by poverty.
